What Is Window Tinting?
REASONS TO CHOOSE WINDOW TINT SERVICE
Privacy Enhancement
When you add a layer of tint to your car, you boost your privacy by reducing the amount of people who can see into your vehicle from the outside. This creates an atmosphere that is more secure and private.
Interior Preservation
Window tint protects the interior components of cars and buildings, such as the upholstery, dashboard, and flooring, by lowering the amount of heat generated and blocking the ultraviolet rays produced.
Heat Reduction
Because window tinting reflects a significant percentage of solar heat, it helps keep your vehicle's interior cooler on hot days. It reduces the need for you to use an excessive amount of air conditioning, which may improve fuel efficiency.
Provide Safety
It is feasible for window tinting to prevent shattered glass from falling apart in an accident or a break-in. This not only lessens the likelihood of being injured by flying debris but also makes it more difficult for thieves to see inside your car, which minimizes the likelihood that they would steal it.

The Apex Auto Care Window Tint Process
Are you tired of getting your windows tinted, only to see bubbles form, edges peel, and the film turn purple after just a few months? We get it—and we’re here to change that.
At Apex Auto Care, we provide only premium window tinting services, ensuring a flawless, defect-free installation. Here’s a quick look at how we do it:
Step 1: If necessary, we’ll remove the existing film and thoroughly clean the glass, eliminating any leftover adhesive or contaminants. This step is crucial for a proper installation.
Step 2: We’ll cut, shrink, and install the new tint on your windows. Most of the time is spent here, ensuring everything is done with precision and care.
Step 3: Finally, we double-check the installation. We inspect the edges, ensure no contaminants have gotten behind the film, and heat-set the film to guarantee it adheres properly.
The tint films we use are of premium quality—virtually maintenance-free and built to last. This is not your typical DIY tint kit from an auto parts store.
We deliver the best possible results. Depending on the size of your vehicle, installation may take a full day. If you combine this service with other detailing options, the timeline will be extended, but we’ll discuss all details with you upfront
WINDOW TINT FAQS
Several factors need to be considered: Are we removing existing tint? How large are the windows? How many windows are being tinted? Are the windows intricate in design? Typically, if we’re tinting all the windows, we’ll need a full day to finish the job. If it’s just the front two, we’ll only need a few hours.
Like many things, it depends on the quality of the film, how you store the vehicle, and how you maintain the film. The film we use, UNION, has a lifetime warranty. The film will not delaminate, crack, peel, bubble, or color-change.
Yes, we can absolutely do that. The windshield is usually the largest window on your car (unless you have a large sunroof or rear window) and allows the most heat to enter. If your goal is to block out heat, we recommend opting for carbon or ceramic tint, which makes a significant difference in heat rejection. You don’t have to sacrifice visibility either. We often use ceramic tint, which provides all the heat-blocking benefits without noticeably darkening the glass.
You should wait at least 24 hours after installation before rolling down your windows. This allows the film to properly cure and adhere to the glass under the sun. Rolling down the windows too soon can cause the film to shift, leading to gaps or peeling edges. In colder months, it’s best to wait 48 hours to ensure proper curing.
Yes, we need to remove your existing tint before installing new window film. This can significantly extend the tinting process. Sometimes, the old tint comes off easily, but other times it may come off in pieces, leaving behind stubborn adhesive. Therefore, we must thoroughly prepare the glass before considering the installation of the new film
Typically, issues like bubbling or discoloration are related to the quality of the film and the installation process. With UNION, the film we use, you receive a lifetime guarantee against purple discoloration and bubbling. Additionally, if the film starts to lift or doesn’t perform as expected, we will take care of it and redo the installation!
